Hazards, Disasters, and Catastrophes

Hello and Welcome! I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Briana. I just wanted to say thank you for visiting my blog! The country I'll be discussing during the course will be Thailand. In order to get an understanding of Thailand's geological features, terms and their definitions must be discussed. A catastrophe is a major disaster that requires a significant amount of money and requires a long time for recovery. While, a disaster is a limited event in a specific area that has affected 100 people or killed 10 people. A natural hazard is a threatening natural event, that is a threat to human life and property. Lastly, natural processes only are a hazard when humans stand in the way.
